After You’re Admitted

Welcome to the Wolfpack family - we're here to help you.

Next Steps

Once you’ve made the decision to join NC State, there are a few things you’ll need to do to help you become a member of the Wolfpack. Take the time to review the New Student Programs website to complete the New Student Checklist, register for orientation, and discover all programs and opportunities for transfer students.

  • Review and complete the New Student Checklist.
The New Student Checklist provides everything from how to confirm your enrollment to applying for housing.
  • See how your credits will transfer.
When you are admitted to NC State, we will provide a summary of your transfer credit through your MyPack Portal. You can log into your MyPack with your unity ID and password located on your wolfPAW account. If you have not received your transfer credit summary, you can use our transfer course credit database to see how your credits will transfer to NC State.
  • Apply for scholarships.
Students can apply for university- and department-wide scholarships through Pack ASSIST, the consolidated scholarship portal for undergraduate students at NC State. You will use your unity ID and password to log in to Pack ASSIST.
  • Meet with an advisor and register for classes.
You’ll be able to register for classes after you have been assigned an academic advisor.
  • Register for Transfer Orientation.
All transfer students are required to attend Orientation. This is an opportunity for NC State to assist transfer students in becoming a part of the Wolfpack community.
  • Apply for Summer Start.
Interested in getting to campus earlier? Summer Start provides you with the opportunity to earn up to eight credit-hours during the summer before your first semester.
  • Apply for housing.
At NC State, you do not have to confirm your enrollment before submitting the University Housing application – we encourage you to submit it as soon as you are accepted! Make the most of your campus living experience by applying to live with other transfer students in the STATE Village. The village is designed to help residents adjust to transitions they face as second-year or transfer students.
