Prepare to Apply

If you're looking to transfer to NC State, you're in good company. Nearly 20 percent of our students are transfer students.

Transfer to NC State

If you’ve already begun your college education at a community college or another university, then you’re considered a transfer student when you apply to NC State.

Before beginning your application, you should review the variety of majors we offer at NC State. It is important to identify your program of interest as it is heavily considered in the application review process and recommended coursework varies by program.

Once your application is submitted, a wolfPAW account will be created for you. WolfPAW is your one-stop portal for application updates. We will notify you on your wolfPAW account when application materials are received, and it is where your final admission decision will be released.
