Academic Advising Programs and Services
Academic advising is provided by your academic department. You can find out who your assigned advisor is on your MyPack Portal tutoring services. If you are having trouble locating your advisor, we also offer a virtual advisor and walk-in advising to help you get all your questions answered.
Are you a current NC State student thinking about changing your major? Walk-in advising is available where you can meet with cross-curricular advisors who can help you evaluate potential majors, navigate the on-campus transfer process (CODA), and plan appropriate coursework as you transition between majors.
Career Development Center
NC State is dedicated to not only helping you find a job after you graduate but to also be a standout job candidate. The Career Development Center will help you identify a career that matches your interests, create a strong resume, and prepare you for your upcoming interviews.
University Tutorial Center
If you need help with a class, the University Tutorial Center (UTC) provides free tutoring for chemistry, math, physics, speaking, and writing. With appointments and drop-in tutoring available, you can find a time that fits with your schedule. The UTC hires and trains students to provide assistance with classes, so you have the opportunity to learn from your fellow Wolfpack.
Have a subject you love and want to help others understand? You can apply to become a tutor through UTC. If the UTC does not offer tutoring in a class you would like extra help with, it is often available through different campus departments.
Health Services
The Student Health Center is your home for all your health-related needs. Student Health Services, the Counseling Center and the Disability Resource Office are all housed within the Health Center. It includes everything from lab and x-ray services to a full pharmacy.
